Tobey Publishing started in a basement. (Peter wrote a book about motorcycles there.) Over a period of years this independent trade paperback publisher evolved into the creator of many published products. They included magazines, books and newsletters.
Among them were how-to titles covering subjects as varied as computer programming, horticulture, womens' health and bicycling. While fiction became a part of the company's repetoire, non-fiction was the basis of its editorial approach.
