Right: This promotion was a five-part series of mailings. The first was a blue "passport" with hand stamps and descriptions of PFPC's overseas customers. Included with the passport were foreign currencies and a letter.
Weekly, for five weeks, we sent prospects descriptions of PFPC offshore operations.
In alternating weeks the passport was red.

Once upon a time, we did a lot of very dull work in the mutual fund industry. Shareholder communications, it's called. A.K.A. "legally mandated disclosure documents and financial reports." But, we had fun, occasionally. A division of PNC, Provident Financial Processing Corp., provides a wide variety of services to mutual funds. Among them is the accounting function related to overseas investments and their disclosure requirements in the US. Very complex stuff. This is the piece we produced to market the service to a grand total of 500 mutual funds.
