Every marketing message is directed toward an audience of potentially qualified prospects. If the message does its job it separates those who might buy from those who never will.
Find.
Put differently, marketers must find those who need what they sell. One way or another you have to find groups who may contain these people and then get genuine prospects to identify themselves.
Qualify.
The more effectively you define your audience to include those who perceive a need your product fulfills, the more efficient your sales efforts will be. But need isn't the only qualification of importance. Good prospects need the inclination and ability to buy.
Convert.
If someone reacts to your provocation, he is a respondent. If he responds again, he's sometimes called "converted." And so begins the progressive promotion of customers- in-the-making. Selling is for the patient.
