We designed this series of book covers to evoke a period in aviation and American romantic history.
There's something overstated about all good horror packaging. Subtlety doesn't count.

This publishing imprint was launched at a time when some category titles were routinely successful. Among them were period pieces evoking earlier eras in American romantic memory. Also successful were science fiction and horror titles. These, particularly, required starkly typical covers that clearly announced their place among the thousands of titles published.
